Carolina VonKampen

I am a freelance book editor and the publisher and editor in chief of Capsule Stories, a print literary magazine. I completed the University of Chicago’s editing certificate program and graduated with a BA in English and history. I’m a member of ACES: The Society for Editing and Editorial Freelancers Association.

I work with indie authors to polish their manuscripts—novels, memoirs, poetry collections, essays, short stories, or business nonfiction—for self-publication or submissions in the traditional publishing world. My goal as an editor is to bridge the gap between your intentions and your reader’s expectations. I provide developmental editing, substantive editing, line editing, copy editing, and proofreading for fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. I have experience editing both books and individual short stories, essays, and poems.
