Audiobooks: How and Why

If you’re serious about growing as an author, audiobooks aren’t an option anymore — they’re leverage, and they let readers “read” while doing something else.

At our May meeting our SLPA past president Warren (Marty) Martin will discuss the why and how to produce and sell audiobooks. He has 20 plus books in print and eBook, and all of them in Audiobook format available on Audible, Spotify and other platforms including his website martymartin.net/

The audiobook market has grown consistently year after year. Platforms like Audible, Spotify, and Apple Books are investing heavily in audio. That’s not a trend. That’s a shift.

After discussing why you should include audiobooks with your books, Marty will discuss how to find narrator talent, produce, upload, the cost, and sell audiobooks on Amazon Audible, Spotify, and other platforms to include your website. He will also review how to market audiobooks.
